Before I get to how I am using MeetEdgar in my law practice – how was your 4th of July?
For me, picture three kids (all 5 and younger), my wife and I in a Honda Odyssey for 10 hours… one way.
They three days with family trying to keep our 1-year-old from eating everything in sight, too much food, and some fireworks… then back to the Odyssey for 10 more hours of screaming children.
At least an off-duty police officer let my kids ride his BMW motorcycle… God bless him…
I’m not going to lie, it’s so nice to be back in a quiet office…
So now for today’s tool, one that I am quickly falling in love with. And FYI, I’m not an affiliate for this company because they only want completely unbiased feedback and reviews. So if you choose to use them, I am not compensated.
There are lots of scheduling tools out there that will help you to automate your social media posts. As a lawyer, this is a great way to post content and stay involved with your audience.
People use social media to post articles that they find helpful, videos, and most importantly, promote their own blog posts and content.
But the problem with most social media automation tools is that they only allow you to post once, and you have to constantly refill your queue with new content.
So for example, let’s say you write an article today that is somewhat evergreen and helpful to your clients and prospective clients. You do a nice job formatting, maybe even include some nice images, etc. You post it, and share it on Facebook, twitter, etc., then it disappears into your blog as you post new content on top of it.
Well, let me introduce you to Edgar.
Meetedgar.com is an awesome new tool to help you manage your social media accounts. It does the same things that all the other social media automation tools do, but it also keeps a library of all your posts and continues to recycle through them as you run out of content to share.
So if you have 50 blog posts to share, you can load this into Edgar and tell it to share them at certain times each day and/or week. If you post once a day, and don’t add anything else to your library, Edgar will recycle your old content again in 50 days.
Pretty cool, huh?
What’s awesome about this is that most people do not see all your social media posts. So by reposting on a regular schedule, you are more likely to reach more of your audience over time.
Why other companies never thought of this I have no idea.
Here’s how Edgar describes what it does…
Get more mileage out of every update.
Edgar is a social media scheduling tool like no other. Instead of publishing your updates just once and throwing them away like yesterday’s rubbish, he carefully catalogues them in a limitless library that you build over time.
All of your updates are sorted into categories that you create and published on a schedule that you choose, so Edgar publishes what you want, when you want it. No manual scheduling, no busywork, and no hassle – just the peace of mind that only Edgar can provide.
After Edgar publishes every update in a category, he simply pulls more from your library. You never run out of messages in your queue, and your handcrafted updates get the chance to be seen, shared, and loved by brand new people.
